I was long overdue for a haircut and desperate for a qualified stylist who actually understands what I want. I was able to secure an appointment with Heather as she was kind enough to squeeze me in at the end of her day. She was very gracious and surprisingly energetic for someone who had been on her feet all day. She listened carefully to what I wanted and then made a few suggestions based on the condition of my hair. The final result was better than I had hoped for and a wonderful experience all around. Everyone I had contact with was professional and personable. The whole time I was there I had no doubt that my satisfaction was their top priority and sadly these days that isn't common. My hair is pretty easy to cut, color, and manage, therefore, I was never particular about where I went for my seasonal cut or color. A friend recommended a stylist named Adam at Reflections of You. We've all had at least one horriffic hair experience which traumatizes us for life. We end up frantic and running for a towel to cover our hideous rendition of our hair. I had such an experience a few months ago, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. During a weekend trip to New York, I thought I would get my hair colored. My coloring looked like my three-year old took some crayola markers and unevenly colored on my hair. I was a complete mess.

As soon as I came back, I called my friend whom recently had her hair done [which I loved] at Reflections of You. She ranted and raved about Adam, whom I was initially hesitant to use, since I lost all trust in any unfamiliar stylists. She was so confident that Adam could fix my coloring that she offered to pay if I didn't his work--how could I pass a deal like that up? I AM SO GLAD I LISTENED TO HER! THICK, STRAIGHT AND COARSE are qualities that best define my hair. I have two choices with my hair, keeping it long or short. Being that I am a young professional man that has a clean-cut image, I like to keep my hair short and fresh. ADAM IS THE ----!!! I first went to reflections of you after i received a gift certificate from my work and I have been going regularly ever since. Adam always does exactly what I want while still offering his professional opinion when I found out I would have to start straightening my hair for work Adam was nice enough to offer to help me out so I was going to ROYF almost two times a week... he would always manage to squeeze me in. all the staff is super nice and welcoming its very clean and the iced tea is delicious :] ~ emily m.

Let me Rave about Adam! Wise-beyond-his-Years, I brought that young man a spidery bedraggle, cut like a motorcycle helmet and said, 'I paid 300 dollars for this and I am, let me tell you, a little bitter. Can you help?' He scowled at it, looked at me and said, 'Hmm...Let’s see.' So, he sat me down and pried information out of me like 'Do you want to be able to tie it back when you work out?' or 'Do you want to spend no time at all on it in the morning?' and he was sweet, holding up strands of it and saying, 'Don’t be silly. You have good hair. Nice waves.' All with my wailing and my complaining and bemoaning midlife lot. And he gazed thoughtfully at my old head, and moved things around and tidied with a comb and whoosh! and snip snip! Faster than you can say, 'It really shows off your cheekbones!' He gave me a darling, kicky, flirty, easy , smart cut that made me feel all those things. How does he do it?

And I didn’t even have room for Laleh who washed my hair! Scrubbed me like a rug until I laughed. And the nice girl with gorgeous hair red as tail lights at the desk who gave me invaluable, 'What to do when your hair is falling out' advice, which I needed. Sure...Sure post away, Dixieland. I absolutely will and do trumpet the charms of young Adam and of ROY as a whole bunch.

The best cut, style & color I have ever had for my very curly hair. Anita shaped my hair beautifully to frame my face, she left some length, and cut my hair in a way that made it very manageable. Also, the color was the most flattering I've ever had. Anita didn't try to persuade me to have my hair combed out in a way that would straighten it. I left with my curls looking shiny & beautiful. Also the massaging chairs you sit in when you are having your hair washed are incredibly relaxing. The salon is very low-key & professional.

I want to commend Anita Zaatar on the wonderful person she is. My sister had a debilitating stroke and she was so kind and patient with her. She did an excellent job on her hair and made her feel so good about herself, that my sister applied makeup with her one good hand. You are very fortunate to have Anita on staff. ~ Sherry Berks

Before discovering Anita, I couldn't find anyone who could get my hair color and style right. My hair is naturally curly & is turning a drab shade of gray. Anita immediately got my hair color right. Its now a shade that brightens up my face, and the cut is great & easy to maintain between visits.

I have recently had a 90 minute therapeutic massage at the salon. I literally felt like I was floating on a cloud and found myself staggering out the front door! It was truly a dream come true.

I also had a European facial and loved it. I am not sure if you are still offering this service any longer but it was thorough, relaxing, and I felt pampered with my skin feeling like baby's skin after it was completed.

After the facial I asked my husband for a gift certificate for my birthday so I look forward to continued treatments.

Love the shop - the colors, atmosphere, separation of hair and derma clinics are very productive. I always feel tired and a little low entering the shop because of my busy and stressful day. As soon as my sessions are over, I feel like a whole new person.

Whether it is for a cut, color or facial, the shop appears to be on the cutting edge of technology, new products and styles. Look at the wall of honor - showing all of the awards and citations in fashion and hair magazines!! Even if my hair is shoulder or below the ear in length, if I choose to change my style - it is done with interest and super consultation and done beautifully.

I am very happy with my hair- I got a shorter cut done by Sara a few days ago. First impressions are everything: She looked and acted professionally and had a really pretty hair style *that I now want!* She was pleasant and did a wonderful job...the real test was waking up the next day and being able to do it myself. My hair has more volume and body than it has had in a while. I often drive right by this salon, so I am glad I gave them a shot. After I spent quite some time browsing the web and reading reviews about the salons in the area, i decided to try ROY. I had thick heavy long hair for 3 years now, and I was a little afraid to trust someone in doing a good job cutting it to a medium length while giving it a nice shape. I'm the mom of a 10-months-old, and I'm starting nursing school next week, so I wanted something age(27) and school-appropriate, easy to manage, feminine, neat, but a little playful. I walked in to ROY without having an appointment. Lucky me, the place was quiet(Wednesday around noon), and the receptionist assigned me to Sarah. After introducing ourselves, she asked about the ways I usually treat/style my hair, and to try to describe in three words what I'd like my new hair to be. So, I told her the above mentioned attributes and it seemed that she got a grip of what I wanted. After a pretty good hair wash/massage(by Lale who offered to trim my eyebrows, but understood that that was not the purpose of my visit, so she didn't push it), Sarah started to cut my hair. I appreciated it that she took her time and always made sure that i was ok with what she was doing next and that I liked what she did so far. The whole experience from walking in to walking out probably took about 1.5-2 hours, but it definitely worth it, 'cause I got a great hair cut!!!! Also, I must mention that she had a professional attitude and she was gentle with my hair(not like the lady who pulled out half of may hair the last time I got a hair cut ). She did tell me about the products that would benefit my hair, but she was not pushy in any way. While getting ready to leave, I took a peak into the mirror again, and who I'm guessing is the owner or manager of the place, kindly asked me if everything was ok with my haircut. I said yes, i just needed to get used to it a bit (I got bangs- hadn't have them since high school). One more thing, I almost forgot, the price. The whole thing cost me 45 dollars - I say this is a pretty neat price for a wash, cut, dry, and style. I was/am extremely satisfied. I love my new look, and guess what? my husband likes it too.
